Here in lies a hidden gem, right here in Nevada. Located on the Colorado River, you can reach this cave (rightfully called-"The emerald Cave") by kayaking 2 miles from willow Beach. The key to the beauty of the colors is the time of day and how the sun is hitting the water. this picture I took mid afternoon . the water below is crystal clear turquoise with an outlooking view of purples and pinks against the mountains! A must see if you are visiting the area. Kayak Rentals are available on willow beach . This cave is only accessible via boat/water!
What will the day bring...
Adventures in and out of Nevada, outdoor activities, including; last minute road trips, rollerblade trails, fun, sunsets, wildlife, exploration, hikes, hidden gems, hot springs, pools, places to see, living life to its fullest..

Pirates Cove Beach, California

Laying on the Beach. Beautiful white sand and clear waters! Too cold to go swimming in, in the spring when I went, but in the summer it is so refreshing once temps outside get to 100!

A quaint waterfall welcomes you as you enter. This is a great spot for families during the week, The weekends can be a great spot for singles as its known for "party time" on the weekends with a young 20-late 30 crowd. Fun stop for couples if you rent a cabin, individuals anytime is good. It was a very relaxing , calming, peaceful day on the water. I brought my kayak and got some boating time in to the other shore and was then able to do some hiking in the sand dunes. I highly recommend this "hidden gem"!!!

My trip to Red Stone Canyon In Lake Mead Area...great views, silent air, a breeze and away from it all! Located in Lake mead towards Overton Nevada you can't miss this, as you will see a sudden influx of all red rocks in small area . They have picnic grounds, bbq pits and restrooms, as its about 45 minutes into Lake Mead Park.
