Big Horn Sheep @ Hemenway Park every night!
If you have never seen Big Horn sheep in the wild, this is the place to be. They are here at Hemenway Park in Boulder City, every night around sunset/ 630 pm, grazing on the grass in the park. You can get very close up to them, as they seem so used to people near them! A must see, and bring your kids too, they will love it

Lake Mead, Hike, Kayak, Spear Fishing, sunset kayak
Spend alot of time on Lake Mead. A few days ago, I went out there for a kayak and hike. I started my adventure at Hole 33, on the Boulder City side and found an interesting, strenuous hike down to the water. Without hesitation I was off!
It only took about 20 min to get down to the lake from atop the "scenic view" pull off...and when i reached the water, this is what I came face to face with.... Yes, thats a coyote in the wild. I don't how I managed to snap a picture of him, I was shaking like crazy. It was a few second stare down, until he did a deep growl, then a howl. I knew it was time to get back up the mountain! A chase ensued and I was running uphill with a big rock in my hand-that was my first instinct, throw it at him. I managed to make it to the top and turned around to see him giving up. I walked into a den, now I know better! So hiking is not something to be done alone, there IS wildlife out there, and I've seen it first hand, its their homes too!..the rest of the day followed by a calm down kayak off boulder bay..

A friend trying my kayak, tipping over in it...we then continued the day, and went spear fishing, and caught two sea bass!
Lots to do on the Lake, always a good time! Even fit in free climbing the RedStones! by Echo Bay..
stopped off to do the summit hike! beautiful views..
Finishing off the day with a night/sunset kayak and swim...
A day visiting Laughlin Nevada Lake Mohave
Spent my day off driving the 1:05 min drive from Henderson to Laughlin Nevada on Lake Mahove and the Colorado river..Lots of shopping, water fun, hike trails to see here. Worth a day trip!
Davis Dam in Arizona, on the Colorado River, you can launch your boat/kayak here, cliff jump, and swim..
Along the hike , found a hidden spot to take a water break and swim break ! The CO river is super cold to swim in, but when its 110 out, it feels great!
laughlin beach area, picnic tables, grills and right on the shore line!

Zion National Park, Camp trip , Utah
We took the free Zion shuttle bus for a scenic drive to the Emerald Pools Hike (about a 4 mile round trip hike)
A random cave/tunnel along the up hill hike to the pools..
A canyon wall you walk through to the other side..
Most deserved view from atop the mountain of the furious Virgin River in Utah
.We then finally reached one of the 4 pools with waterfalls.
Calling it a day 4 hours later, we get back to the campsite to see this: They were all over the campgrounds just feeding and not bothering anyone, wildlife at its finest!
Waking up with some morning coffee by the Virgin River..
Day two. We decide to tackle "The Narrows". This is a 10 mile hike through water, and only water. It's no joke. It starts smooth, then you get into white water rapids, slippery rocks, algae walls and a strong current. Advice for this hike, bring a long sleeve shirt , dry clothes, lots of water/food, sturdy shoes with ankle support and a walking stick. We made the mistake of not having enough dry clothes and I got a bout of hypothermia on the way back, not fun. You get wet on this one, and there is not alot of sun in the canyon with the very narrow walls. At one point you have to swim one section. Be prepared, its not for beginners.
