The Emerald Cave

 Colorado River Cave
Here in lies a hidden gem, right here in Nevada. Located on the Colorado River, you can reach this cave (rightfully called-"The emerald Cave") by kayaking 2 miles from willow Beach. The key to the beauty of the colors is the time of day and how the sun is hitting the water. this picture I took mid afternoon . the water below is crystal clear turquoise with an outlooking view of purples and pinks against the mountains! A must see if you are visiting the area. Kayak Rentals are available on willow beach . This cave is only accessible via boat/water!

Lovers Cove Day Dream Island Kayak

 Making fire...

Day trip To day Dream Island on Calville Bay...white sands nothing but birds and nature and silence...So peaceful kayaking out to this hidden gem

Did a little hike and exploring of the island
Middle of nowhere it felt like, no people, no boats, just myself and my kayak beaching up to spend the day exploring.. spotty cell service but that's the beauty, going off the grid for awhile..

white Sand dunes surround you..

The views!

Total serenity here. Perfect day to be on the water...this is a hidden cove you can only get to by boat/kayak..you can't hike to the island unless you want to swim lol but I don't recommend that! Great find! away from the city and hustle need a day of quietness? come here.

Pirates Cove Beach, California

Pirates Cove Resort and Beach. Located in Needles California, on the Historic Route 66! only 1:45 minuets away from Las Vegas, its a perfect and beautiful getaway for the day away from all the hustle and bustle!
They have camping, an outdoor bar/restaurant on the beach and cabins for rental over night. The cabins are a bit pricy at 300 a night to sleep 4. Best to go with a group if you decide to go this route. If you decide to camp, they charge 20$ a car for the night.
With Free WIFI connections you can bring your tablet and watch a movie on the beach or listen to your favorite songs while working on your tan.

Gorgeously landscaped along the Havasu River are large palms and walkways down to the water.

The marina is your spot if you want to rent a boat, launch a kayak or simply go on a boat tour of the area.

Laying on the Beach. Beautiful white sand and clear waters! Too cold to go swimming in, in the spring when I went, but in the summer it is so refreshing once temps outside get to 100!
Plenty of shade for those who want to relax but not get so much sun...

One of the Pirate Ships Docks on shore

Take a stroll along the water with stunning landscape and peaceful "quietness."

A quaint waterfall welcomes you as you enter. This is a great spot for families during the week, The weekends can be a great spot for singles as its known for "party time" on the weekends with a young 20-late 30 crowd. Fun stop for couples if you rent a cabin, individuals anytime is good. It was a very relaxing , calming, peaceful day on the water. I brought my kayak and got some boating time in to the other shore and was then able to do some hiking in the sand dunes. I highly recommend this "hidden gem"!!!

Lake Mead Sunset Over Look Hike

Beautiful day for a hike, one of my favorites at Lake Mead, Sunset View. Its challenging and well worth it!

The four islands from atop the Sunset View

Choppy waters on this day but that did not stop me from a fun kayak adventure!!!

Hiking towards the water to kayak, such different terrain at every turn!

The mountain was smiling at me that day!!
