Summer in Hawaii 2014

On June 10th, 2014 I decided to take a risk and bought a one way ticket to Oahu Hawaii! Never visiting before I was so excited for the adventure of a lifetime. Without hesitation I was on the first flight out the next day.

Upon arriving @the Airport I was cordially greeted by a camera crew, inviting me to be a contestant on a new talk show called "The Game Plane" The filming was to take place during the flight at over 36,000 Ft. I quickly said yes and signed the release papers I needed.
Filming
Almost like a cash cab type of talk show. I ended up walking with a few different gift cards for free merchandise in Hawaii. For the next 6 hours en route to Hawaii we filmed we won prized we had lots of laughs. The host of the show then asked me to come to the front of the plane and sit with the producer! Why me? Why not! I then helped the producers and host with cue cards and microphones. It was the fastest and most fun flight I've ever had, But as quickly it began, it was over. And I was in Hawaii...

Nothing but a suitcase and a backpack, I was ready to start a new chapter in my life...for how long? That was the fun part, I had no idea. I mean where is the adventure in KNOWING. It was all about the unknown...and boy was I in for the time of my life...

I had a "couch" secured with a roof for at least a month, and I say it this way because that literally was my life for a month. I wasn't quite sure where I would stay after that month...but I just wasn't worried! I knew I would figure out something. So before I started working, I just let out a huge sigh of relief and made my way to the beach..first of course stopping for snorkeling gear.
I was just absolutely amazed at the underwater life, So majestic and surreal!
Yeah that's
a very poisonous eel. Me? I though it was pretty ;/

No idea what these fish are called but they sure were pretty and there seemed to be a billion of them!

I have become obsessed with Sea Turtles. The first one I saw, I was like a kid in a candy store! They are gigantic and so docile it was unreal. You could get so close up to them and it just didn't phase them one bit! Just don't touch them.

Turtles!!!

 Turtles!!!!

Scuba divers below !

So many different species of fish and life just right under our feet!

Snorkeling became part of my daily routine. I would go to the beach every morning and every night to watch the sun set and just become one with nature looking at the vast array of stars. Every day was beautiful weather, with the occasional "pineapple showers..

The ocean has a sense of calamity that it brought me. The happiness I experienced in Hawaii is like no other happiness I can describe. I was "Euphoric" ALL THE TIME. It is a magical place and you just have to learn to be.

Every Friday night, Waikiki shoots off fireworks from the Hilton on the beach..  This spot became known as "the spot" to watch the Friday fireworks ..perfect vantage view.

This became "my tree". Right on the ocean, great climbing, shade, shelter and just plain cool looking!
